Well, it’s going to be another beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest, and I think half of the Eastside is going to be on either Lake Washington or Lake Sammamish. Boating on Lake Washington and going through the Mountlake cut into Lake Union is a most pleasant way to check out the local hot spots on the water. In Issaquah yesterday the temperature reading on my car reached 101 degrees; I’m in heaven with this weather! I’m going to go up to the New Castle Golf Course, to hit a few balls, and meet close friends for cocktails this evening. I love listening to the fellow playing the bagpipes at sunset with Lake Washington and Seattle as a backdrop. It reminds me of growing up and suffering through my twin brother learning to play the pipes. The neighborhood dogs would cheerfully pipe in as extra drones, creating quite a chorus throughout the neighborhood.
Sad to say, Big Daddy’s is no more. It was a great venue for local cover bands, and it will be miss. Black Velvet will be playing up at The Raging River in Fall City this evening. I love listening and dancing to them, and there is a lot of local flavor at The Raging River. I also found out golfing near there one Sunday morning, that they have a fantastic breakfast on mornings.
